Special Medical Supplies (SMS) services are intended to assist Individuals in increasing Independence and reducing the financial burdens of disabilities through the provision of important items. Georgia Pals facilitates SMS to Medicaid COMP Waiver recipients approved for SMS service.

SMS items include:

• Nutritional – Ensure, Boost
• Special clothing, adaptive clothing
• Diapers, bed wetting protective chucks, and other incontinence supplies
• Infection control supplies such as non-sterile gloves, aprons, masks, gowns.
• Supplies necessary for the proper functioning of approved devices.
